Well, the bottom line on the NFL Network says that Pete Carroll expects Michael Bennett to play week one, so that's good.

That's great. I think Bennett will be the best pass rusher on the team. Put him and Clem together and the rest will fall in to place.

Clemons will have the pass rush problem fixed when he returns IMO. I think his absence was the sole reason the Seahawks lost to the Falcons in January.

I don't know if it's the sole reason, but it was the main one.

To put it differently: I'm very confident Seattle would've won if Clemons were playing.

I was actually rooting for Atlanta because I thought they were an easier opponent (I think Matty Romo - I mean Matty "Ice" is terribly overrated and a choke artist).

Well, as I mentioned the NFL bottom line on the NFL network said that Michael Bennett is expected to play, plus I think that I read that Cliff Avril practiced fully. Those are two good pass rush pieces right there, so that's a pretty good start.

Yes, even if all those guys were healthy I'd be worried. The Seahawks year in and year out seem to have a non existent pass rush on the road, regardless of personnel. I'm still gonna be wary, even when all the guys are back, until I see consistent pressure on the QB in road games.

I think being worried about the pass rush is certainly justified at this point. Clemons, Irvin, Avril all potentially out.....those are our top 3 pass rushers right there.

I'd say that Bennett is potentially the biggest key to a successful passrush this year, right after Clem.

He's so good at jumping the snap and has a nice repertoire of moves. Of all additions he's the guy that I have the most expectations of impact of.
