The other thing about him is I don't know if I agree with or like the way he's been used so far. I won't pretend to act like I know more than they do, but I'd like to see more emphasis on getting him the ball more quickly where he can use his vision and get to the 2nd level with a head full of steam.

With that said, in order to do that, Kaepernick would really have to improve his touch and ability to hit him in some short, tight spots, something Kaepernick has struggled with thus far no matter who the receiver is.

Yeah, like his "break-out" game against the Cards in 2011. They were getting him the ball quickly, in stride, and giving him time to do something in space. A good role for a 3rd or 4th WR like he was in that game. I think you've seen a lot of the stuff I have seen on the coaches film the last two years though. He does have the ability to get behind the secondary a few times a game and I think Harbaugh/Roman prefers having him as that homerun threat.

For the 49ers' sake I hope they continue to use Mendehall and forget about AE.

Bad defense on both sides. Denver's defense doesn't scare me as much as people have been talking about it the last two weeks.

Oh, and the Cowboys letting Rob Ryan go as DC was utter stupidity.
