As soon we the match ended my mates and me were trying to figure out exactly what we needed:

Italy wins their next two
England beats Costa Rica
Goal differential in England's favour

If the first two happen, the third is likely. Thankfully Italy still has a lot to play for, so I think they'll take Costa Rica, but even if that happens, they will probably mail it in against Uruguay knowing a tie is enough to win the group.

It's too bad, England actually looks to have developed some more creative offense this year, but their centrebacks are absolute shite. Both of Suarez's goals came off really lacklustre defending.

I'm an England fan, but I find it really strange that anybody thinks they are good this year. By FIFA rankings, they are coming in as third best in their group, and I wouldn't even put them that high. I don't think any (knowledgeable) England fans thought they were a favourite to come out of the group stage.
