i agree about Domenech. he's been riding on the coat tails of an incredibly talented group. really i think that the lack of team cohesiveness is what's sunk them (basically from the finals of 06 on). say what you want about Zidane, but that was the most selfish idiotic thing he could do. i mean, it's THE FINAL and you pull that crap? only to have your team go down a man? not right. think about it, would that extra man have won them the game before they got to penalties? i think it wouldve.

well...i don't see them pushing for a win, that's for sure. if a goal happens, a goal happens, but i doubt they push it. especially since the GD is weighted highly against south africa and france.

i think he made those comments to try to push the team into playing with a bit more urgency and pride. They were crap these last 2 games.
and as for coaching, he can't get worse that Domenech. i think a "win one for Zizou" speech would carry more weight than Domenech's "bring me my wine, and a 15 year old hooker for my boy Ribery! Game tomorrow? meh, whatever"
At least Zidane has passion.
