What a fabulous 2nd half by the US! They were robbed of a win, there's no other way to put it. The officiating for the entire World Cup has been shit so far. You'd think for the World's biggest tournament that only occurs every 4 years, they could get some officials with brains bigger than a peanut.

Actually, we are in position still. We beat Algeria and England beats Slovenia and we're in. If Slov-England tie, then it could be some crazy tiebreaker. Good we got 3 goals.... err, 2 goals today in case.

Assuming England wins today, and I think there's a good chance of that, the US advances if they beat Algeria by 2 or more.

Edit: Beating Algeria by 2 guarantees the US a spot in the next round regardless of the outcome of the Slovenia/England game. If either Slovenia or England wins, then the US would only need to beat Algeria by 1 to advance.

Why has fifa publically named who will be refereeing the remaining games of the group stage? Is it to give the asian gambling syndicates more time to get in touch with referees?
