Esh Apple fanboys are scary. And I'm not saying everyone that runs everything Apple is a fanboy, almost all "toys" are Microsoft but I can atleast say something good about other products. The fanboys are the ones that wont/cant out of fair they'll die a little.

I can say that because I work in IT and have been a "computer geek" all my life so I "know computers".

I don't really want to turn this into a Mac vs. PC thread, but what I'm trying to say is... they sell nice products.. overpriced but nice.. their stuff is easy to use, their marketing is brilliant and people buy their shit because it "just works". I get that and I can't be upset at people for buying into it. Especially (but not necessarily) if they're not very computer literate or whatever.

So I don't really *hate* Apple but it's just not for me... because my year-old Android phone is more powerful and does a ton more shit that's useful to ME than the 4S would do.. my PC that I build myself from parts I buy on teh Interwebs is 1/3 the cost of an iMac (same for a laptop vs. a Macbook Pro or whatever they call their laptop these days), etc.

There ARE some dumb++ idiot AAPL fanboys out there that say stupid ignorant shit that's amusing but the Android/PC crowd also has got their share... it happens.

You make some great points, Rares. If you want something that is more customizable, PC is definitely the way to go.

As to cost, let me note the real cost of the two is a lot closer than people think. The last time I bought a PC was probably a little over a decade ago. I think I spent like $600 on it and sold it later for maybe $100. I'm not even sure I didn't get $50 for it. Their resale value is generally lousy. I bought my first MacBook for $1,000, but I sold it on Ebay a little over 2 years later to upgrade to a MacBook with more hard drive/RAM. I got $550 for it. So while it is more cost upfront (and they do charge you out the ass for accessories, though you can get knock offs for 1/4 of the price), the real cost is actually pretty close to the same.

I like my phone. I can use it to call people and send texts, and it has a stopwatch and a notes thing and an alarm clock and a calendar. That's all I need.

Don't get me wrong. I have an Iphone 4 and it's fucking awesome and I love being able to post shit to SportsHoopla while actually attending a hockey game and surf for por... fantasy hockey stats when on the go.

But really, what Darkstone said. I got the Iphone as a gift and my old phone worked just fine. It also didn't have a $waythehelltoomuch a month data plan or break despite me accidentally running it through the laundry. Twice. My Iphone, on the other hand, costs a lot despite the fact that I already own it, doesn't provide any unique features that I really need, and once broke because I bumped into a table at maybe 0.5 miles an hour with the thing in my pocket (that was the same day some asshole totaled my car while it was parked at work and drove off. Not a good day).

Kardashians have the DASH Stores, I think one of them use to have their own closest company. Their famous for nothing, but they had money before they were famous.

And person from Jersey shore thats actually FROM NJ is Sammi. They rest of are NY. Those people exist, but they mostly come from Staten Island, or the BENNY areas, which are not the shore.
