I watched a pretty cool movie the other day... Another Earth it is called. It was filmed in New Haven, CT. Somehow an identical Earth to the one we know winds up in our solar system, we make contact, and it turns out we have doubles over there. But decision and outcomes could have been different there. They make contact, and it has a weird tragedy/love story intertwined, its cool though.
