OT: Video Game Geek Out

So far what I see doesn't seem like its anything that makes it unplayable. Worst I've seen is some freeze ups where you reset the game. You can load your latest save and its fine. Doesn't seem frequent but it happens. Official launch isn't until Friday so I won't be surprised if they don't have a patch ready to go within a week or two.

The more common complaint I see is some of the stealth missions are bullshitty where you fail the mission if you're spotted and its really hard to not get spotted. They might tweak that thru patches as well making the guards' awareness lower, etc.

can you imagine tho charged almost 40% to get it early release and you become live QA lol

Update: Seeing some stuff today that there IS a couple game breakers out there. Seems mostly on PS5. They've already released a patch but players have to abandon their saves and start over. So yeah. Don't pay money to be a defacto beta tester.

My wife and I do a rotation of Super Mario/Luigi Deluxe, Wonder and Mario Maker 2 every once in awhile when we have time. Love 2D Mario.

She’s not very good at other types of games.

I forgot where I last stopped on Wonder and didn't have much more to go lol. So Wonder is now completed.

so for whatever reason J.J. Abrams is making Half-Life into a movie.........

that really sucks.... with what was done with DOOM, Borderlands and so many others... just leave it alone...

I finished Dead Island 2, liked it well enough. Not sure if I liked it enough to go back and finish side missions, but I might. Overall it was fun.

yeah it was very enjoyable.

the 2 expansions are super average but all 3 together makes a much bigger game a little more fun. i finished every side mission and came close to seeing every site for the extras they added.

I forgot about looking up expansions. If they are cheap and story driven I may get them. Kind of out of stuff to play, started Guardians Of The Galaxy again.

GotG is worth it sounds like? The Avengers was NOT

the expansions are not super story driven but follow a plot separate from the main game . I enjoyed Haus more than SOLA

Oh yeah, I really liked the GOTG game. Fun to play and a better story than the second movie. Lots of funny dialogue. I liked The Avengers campaign OK. Was not worth playing anything else.

I thought Marvel Suns was fun too, but that is turn based fighting which some people dont like.

Its not really anything like the Avengers game imo. Its more like a walk-and-talk Naughty Dog style game. Honestly, I enjoyed the game so much it made me disappointed with the third GotG movie.

I'm in the minority on that. A lot of people like the third movie...well, a lot of people like all of the movies.

I think the game does a few of the characters much better and some of the characters a little worse

Apparently for the game the entire group recorded all their dialogue together, it really does sound like a bickering group. Lots of funny parts, a few really sad parts. Lots of good music, lots of terrible music.
