doesnt matter. but the first one is pretty excellent. I love the add on levels as well (especially the zombie one)

WTF? Why is Han dancing right before he gets FROZEN IN CARBONITE? Is this some cutscene before Lando betrays him? WAIT - there's a stormtrooper dancing a jig in the background! Look out Han! LOOK OUT!

Won't need to play the 1st, but you should. I'm sure it is pretty cheap by now, and it is a good game. One of the best co-op games out, at least for the PS3. Like with most of these game franchises, you probably will get some sort of bonus or unlock if you have a borderlands 1 saved game on your system.
