if you want you can have your wife call the surgeon and ask they have an answering service that will patch you through to them in cases like that.I had to call when i pulled some stitches out.hell they get paid enough.

She did, but she was not aware of my exact situation (the woman at the Hospital), and she couldn't get a hold of anyone that is involved with my recovery.

She said to limit the amount of movement for my jaws, and to try not to open it that much, and try calling on Monday.

Some parts of the day are better than others. For some reason though, the left side of my face has increased in swelling and bruising.

Also my chin feels like 1,000 needles are poking it, and my teeth feel like they are cold when I breath sometimes. If that makes any sense?

The rubber bands are to keep my jaws from opening too much while they are trying to recover from the surgery.

They need to gradually lessen the amount of tension each week to let them heal in the most efficient manner while minimizing pain to me.

your teeth are probably extremely sensative right now dont know much about the procedure ive had my share of surgerys but nothing like that the bulk of my problems involved pain ,stitches ripping and scar tissue.

What's also messed up about the whole situation is that my Dad and brother live a few minutes away from me, and they have yet to call me or visit me to see how I'm doing.

But I have received Get Well Soon cards from my wife's side of the family from people that I hardly even see.
