First the eagle and now this... quit ruining the interweb for the rest of us.

Blame Canada. (well Montreal anyway)

Some of them seem quite dubious, but most of them were pretty durn funny.

I'm just pissed that these "real" autocorrects weren't on that list.

Polygons caused by thermal contraction, and subsequent ice wedges, of the Earth's surface in areas with permafrost.

That looks really cool. Just how high up was the picture taken from?

So, speaking of "fakes," a guy I work with from time-to-time called me today because he made the Washington Post and blew up on Twitter yesterday. He went to the Wizards-Hawks game and people thought he was Andre 3000 (he does look like him). They showed him on the jumbotron and played Outkast, leading the crowd to a conclusion. He was in the Post and they even mentioned Andre 3000 being at the game on SportsCenter. Here's the story. They initially reported him as Andre 3000, but later updated him as an "imposter," which would be accurate if he wasn't just trying to go to a basketball game with his brother. Pretty funny.

Also found out today (also in the newspaper) that another person I had previously worked with was arrested for a parole violation stemming from a murder conviction from 30 years ago.

So...it was an interesting day at the office.

Just for scale, the water filled borders of each polygon once looked like this (before they began to melt out) in a cross-section.

The wedge shaped thing is solid ice.
