I was always into to skateboarding but I had a lot of respect for the BMX guys.

How they can land some of that stuff fakey (if that is the term in BMX) is crazy to me.

He is 44, and another guy I knew and rode with is 41 and still at it. I quit, too many injuries and too much life in the way. But I am going to go at it again.

Brian Foster, the Blue Falcon. Buddy of mine, 41 YO maniac, old time teammate and real life action figure. Truly, I have an action figure of him on my desk.

Where I grew up we had an abandoned skateboard park that closed in 1979. So we were one of the only places on the east coast where skaters and bikers interacted. We'd spend summer days trying to do skate tricks on bikes and vice versa. The summer of 86, I think we advanced the sport of BMX five years... A couple of pro riders came through (like Dennis) on tours and some of our riders turned pro (Like Brian).

Good old days.

The riding is not the problem..... It's the crashing I have a hard time with.

Not sure if this is correct (found else where)

They are a landmine removal team, I believe the rats may have a bit of training in sniffing out explosives but their kevlar is a bit out of date and the rats may be a bit heavy for use in an area rich in anti-personel landmines, (traditional firing trigger weights of 3 pounds or roughly a little over 1 kg).
