By the way, I'm pretty sure you were the one who was predicting a Isner-type slide down the rankings for Milos. How has that panned out?

If I did I'm not losing sleep over it.

I do see he's seeded 25 and both the young guys are seeded higher.

Not in this tournament.

12
15
25 Milos

You do understand that seeding for tournaments is done usually a month before the tournament, right? In the last week, Milos raised his ranking from #30 to #18. It just was too late to change his seeding for the US Open.

I understand a lot of things.

Nice set point for Vasek.

In other words, yes you got me so I'll try to deflect. Also, if Vasek wins this match, that's great and I hope he goes on a deep run.

Gotta say, Pospisil's level of tennis has remained high for this entire match aside from the first set tie-breaker. Pretty remarkable considering he really hasn't played all that much tennis in the last month (or last 5+months).

11 double faults for Milos and a break point for Vasek.

Not going to be easy for Vasek taking on RBA in round 3, but he can serve as well as he did today against Milos, anything is Pospisil.

Man, he slammed the door with that ace. Way to go Vasek, I'm glad I didn't put a wager down because I would have bet on Milos, but Vasek played exceptionally well today.

mentally i think vasek was amped up to beat one of the cdn who everyone talks about before him but i wonder if he took some confidence from being one of the front and centre guys re this new players union

Perhaps he did - It's just great to see both Milos and Vasek healthy, that back surgery that Vasek had in January 2019 turned his career around, like I said above, RBA will be a tough match and the Spaniard will be favored, but you never know.
