I also took from the movie that Thor is dumb but stronger than the Hulk.

Loki tricks him and traps him in the holding cell that is designed to be strong enough to contain the Hulk. Now Thor should know that Loki can deceive him with illusions, but once again he falls for it and gets trapped. Even Loki says he still can't believe he fell for it again.

And if Thor can break out of the holding cell, why did he wait till he was falling to the ground before he tried? He had to know that was going to happen all along?

Desperate times call for desperate measures? Perhaps at first he didn't believe he could. But faced with possibly smashing into the earth, he gave it a go, and it worked...

I am not convinced the "Hulk proof" cell would have truly been Hulk proof.

The guard was not creeped out by naked Hulk because that's Harry Dean Stanton and he is old school cool and not much phases him.

I did not feel like the first half of the movie was boring or slow. I thought the movie Thor was OK but liked the Earth parts much better than the Asgard parts so that's why I am glad they didn't show Odin sending Thor back as was hinted in the movie.

I think Loki because of how vastly superior he feels over humans would be vulnerable to trickery even though thats his game.

Harry stared into the face of Alien when it brained him. He's fuck you cool

and a 30,000 foot fall would do nothing to him. it didn't in Ang Lees The Hulk :)

I know, but the way they made it sound in the movie, was that it was indeed "Hulk" proof.

I just don't get why Thor waited so long to smash through it. He had his hammer, knew Loki would drop him, and it would be easier to smash through when the whole thing isn't spinning you around.

He would have had better footing and leverage on his side when it was stable on the ship still.

he tried before he dropped and it almost ripped the supports out if I remember correctly. maybe he thought that it would do more damage to the ship???

I just realized the reason why no one wants to watch a movie with me. :L

i do this all the time as well.

Ill see the movie and like it very very much and not find the problems there in the moment. (much like avatar) then go home and think it over and rip i apart (much like avatar)

I didn't do this for The Avengers. I just enjoyed it and took apart little things.

not as much as you but in comic book movies I tend to let a little more go.

unless its Daredevil then I have to fucking shred that shite through a fucking meat grinder..... piece of shit BEn Affleckduck fucking bad movie of my favourite comic book hero.

Yeah, and what was the point of cloaking the ship, it still can be picked up on radar (heat), and you can hear the thing coming from a mile away from the sound it generates.

Hawkeye and his band of goons were able to find it no problem.

Also what was the point of the Aliens armor, when even the bullets from Widow's glocks were enough to kill them easily? Not too mention the ships had no shields, or any defenses at all, with very weak firepower. Advanced alien race my ass. Did we really need the Avengers at all? They could just send the army and deploy a nuke through the vortex.

Hawkeye probably knew how to track and find it as he was part of Shield. which brings up wouldn't Nick Fury changes things up with him being on Lokis...... .

If I didn't like the movie I would do it too.

Years ago I was on a media board where people kept talking up the show Jericho so I got the series from Netflix. The pilot episode was OK but I found the ones after that insultingly dumb.
Examples: they need to get inside before it starts raining because of the hazardous fallout in the rain. Well Jimmy (I do not know his actual name) got caught in the rain and died a quick radiation sickness death. Literally 10 minutes later when it stopped raining everyone went outside and were walking across wet sidewalks, wet grass, etc and they were fine.
Another episode the library was on fire, yes the whole episode was about a library being on fire. Naturally some stupid people were stuck in the library as the fire got closer. Could the fire be put out in time? Oh my! Numerous shots of the room they were 'stuck' in showed a window to the outside behind them and they never once looked at it.

I watch 5 episodes before I gave up. I think at the end of the 5 episodes most of the people on the board hated me.

My buddy is like this for the movie 2012. He called it the most insulting movie he has ever watched.

lol, and if Loki's plan was to get aboard the floating ship, why wouldn't he take over Nick Fury the same way he did Hawkeye and the others? You have to admit that he would of been capable of pulling it off, and it would of made most of his plans a lot easier to manage.

Maybe the eye patch gives him powers over magic?

I havent seen that, but I think from what I see from ads that I could just not think and enjoy it. Maybe not.

Jericho IMO took itself very serious and was a pretty dour show so I gave it a lot less leeway than I do big action popcorn films.
