2D mainly due to it being far less crowded.
Thanks to that passage right there I am a little more optimistic. I'll be catching this soon. I was disappointed with the Thor movie.
lol, yea 3d iMax is fucking crazy on opening weekend of big movies. The only movie I ever saw 3d was Alice In Wonderland. I was baked out of my mind which is what made up for the retarded people around me.
Yeah it was a steaming hot mess. I could go on for a good while about everything that was wrong with that movie. However, I thought Ryan Reynolds did a good job as Hal Jordan all things considered, they were at least somewhat able to establish the history of the GLC, the guardians, and Planet OA, and they sort of laid the groundwork for the Sinestro Corps War. If the sequel is placed in more competent hands, the franchise could still be very promising. The GL mythos has been almost entirely revamped in the last few years by Geoff Johns, and has been my favorite book to follow since. They should just have him write the next script.
The Dark Knight still is #1 for a "hero/comic" movie.
Batman (1989) > Dark Knight
Okay, Freeman, Cain, and Oldman are all silly, but...
-Christian Bale's "gruff" Batman voice is annoying, not great acting
-Kim Basinger in her prime pwns Maggie Gyllenhall
-Nicholson and Ledger - both fantastic, wash
Haven't seen the Avengers yet, but it looks really fun. Looking forward to it.

Sorry, not a wash. Not by a longshot. Ledger played the Joker like a true psychotic. Nicholson was just hamming it up.
Now, if Nicholson could have played the joker more like the work he did in the Shining, then maybe we'd have a comparison.
never really compared those 2 before. but yes I agree. I guess I look at it from modern day.
1989 Batman was so good. It still holds weight today.

That's why I prefer Mark Hamill and Jack Nicholson. It was pure ham, but with a touch of Warner Brothers gangster. The crazy Heath Ledger thing was good for the tone of the Nolan movies though, but it's not my type of Batman. Still... definitely the best part of that movie.
Saw The Avengers today. I liked it. It did Loki a hell of a lot more justice than Thor. Good use of the Hulk, a little light on Hawkeye (probably a good idea), a little light on Captain America, but the perfect amount of Iron Man.
