Oxy Elite Pro is pretty good as a booster. I use one in the morning before work and one midday. If I take it before a hard lift, I sweat too much though. No real side effects and I get regular bloodwork which has shown no abnormalities.

I also drink the occasional Muscle Milk (@greenlife52) if I do not have the time to make my own post-workout drink which I make out of waxy maize, almond butter and GNC wheybolic extreme (one scoop is more than you can process at a time according to my MD buddy, so don't read the instructions)

next step is the diet, I guess... as lunch was a ham sandwich, and bunch of cheeze-puffs and a beer.

Give it 24 hours. You'll really feel it when you wake up tomorrow morning.

to avoid the sore thing i seriously recommend the supplemental protein, it works as a muscle recovery and you wont be as sore if youre sore at all the next day.

Yea I havent found a better recovery than eas myoplex. After an intense workout, I am usually very sore to the point I cant work out for a few days. Ever since I started using this product, I really don't get sore anymore and am ready the next day.

Part of it was adjusting to the routine, but even when I take days/week off it is still the same.

People have to be careful with the protein supplements, just because for the MOST part Americans are getting every little bit of protein necessary (and then some for many) just in the daily diet. Not a bad idea to take a look at how much meat you're eating before looking into taking supplementary protein.

I agree with this. Unless you are really working out a lot you will just end up with excess protein with a lot of supplements. This can be unnecessarily taxing on your liver.

I've been recently trying to build some lean muscle while, primarily, trying to really improve my cardio. In the last 9 months I've looked at more heart-healthy proteins; good free-range eggs, beans and unsalted nuts. It`s worked very well. When I was in my early 20s my diet didn't matter as long as I got my exercises in. I'm now surprised how much my new diet actually helps.

Weekends I usually end up gorging on alcohol and lots of meat and cheese, but the every day stuff is doing the trick for the most part.

my best diet that worked for me: egg whites and water for breakfast and lunch. Jack3d in the afternoon followed by shake. Pretty much Anything I want for dinner. Weekends were a disaster so they don't count. But I really lost weight and cut.

Don't drink your calories.

oh yeah,

another thing to have a part of your training regimen. Sprints. 60-100m sprint, followed by 1-2 minutes of walking back, not jogging back, you're not trying to keep your heart rate elevated. You're trying to get enough rest and energy back to at it another 90-100%. Do this at leat 6-10 sets depending on your conditioning.

I've cut out long runs all together. and it helps out for explosive power as well as a killer fat burner/metobolism booster. not to mention it doesn't take a whole lot of your time. Its been proven to elevate HGH & testosterone levels, well after the work out. do research if you want proof.

2x a week is probably more than enough, especially if you are doing a weight training program, or other types of workouts.

If you want to burn fat and calories in a short amount of time you got to try burpees, or if your man enough do the burpee/pullup combo. I think you would rather run 6 miles than do 10 minutes of that. I love it and it fucking works. And if you want to get even more crazy, do it with a weighted vest.

I rarely lift heavy at all. I train in Muay Thai, so I don't want to get big, plus all the conditioning from training kind of defeats the purpose of going heavy.

I just go moderate lifting in the 8-10 rep range of compound movements (Bench, Squat, Deadlifts & Shoulder Press)

Conditioning is usually a 5 circuit round of 1 minute of each (Burpees, Strikes to heavy bag, Scissor Crunches, Round Kicks to heavy bag, Trunk twists with 10lb medicine ball) rest a minute and do 4 more rounds.

Supplements is just Protein & Force Factor. I'm a pretty amped guy as it is, so I don't use pre-workout stuff. I try to eat good and stay away from all fast foods, sodas, cookies & crap. Eating healthy and in moderation is key if you want to lose wait. And oh yeah, drink lots of water.

to each his own.. main thing you push yourself harder and beyond your threshold of pain each time.

Thanks fro reminding me of the burpee workout. It's sweet when you don't have time to get to the gym. No way can I do it for 10 minutes these days, LOL, but it's a great workout.

I could however WATCH it for 10 minutes.
