Honduran defender Johnny Leveron is new player of Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS of the United States.

Google Translate

would be a solid player signing (not official yet) ... captained Honduras team at the London Olympics which did very well ... they can play him as a defensive mid ... very encouraged by what the caps have done so far

/they won a preseason friendly last night 4-1 v NERevs (mattocks 15 minute hat trick and Kenny miller scored !!!)

and this

Man City IMO conceded, they know they'll get owned by United so they sold Balotelli!

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/05/s...pected-fixing-in-680-soccer-matches.html?_r=0

Criminal organizations have infiltrated the highest levels of European and international soccer, threatening the very integrity of the sport, global law enforcement officials said on Monday as they unveiled the results of a 19-month investigation that showed that hundreds of people had been involved in match-fixing.

The Times's soccer blog has the world's game covered from all angles.
Go to the Goal Blog
At least 425 people from more than 15 countries — including club and match officials, and current and former players — are suspected of conspiring to fix hundreds of matches on behalf of Asian criminal syndicates that made millions of dollars in profits by betting on the results, they said.

Those matches included qualifying games for both the World Cup and the European Cup, and two Champions League matches, including one in England

I know there is lots of corruption but I didnt think it creeped into Champions and World Cup

I like the complete lack of news associated with this story in that they don't give any specific matches.

If the investigation is still so ongoing that you can't name the questionable matches, then don't say anything about it. Period.

Now people are going to speculate and it's going to hurt the image of the game even more.
