Wait why shouldn't bands be allowed to sing about politics if they want? It's completely absurd to suggest they shouldn't do so. If you don't wanna listen to a song about politics then don't. The artists have the right to write about whatever floats their boat though.

It's music. Listen to what you want. As long as it's not country it's cool. Whether it's a bitchy punk song about politics or a shitty thrash metal song about sodomizing goats. To each their own...
