OT: NBA Complaint Thread

So, I'm watching the Finals for kicks and giggles, and I just realized (they did this before the Superbowl as well) that they have these commercials with the players HOLDING the trophy like a child and glancing at it lovingly. Why the heck would you do that? Maybe it's a hockey fan thing, but I would NEVER touch a trophy I didn't win (as an athlete, as a fan, not so much).

the only trophy moment from teh nba that comes to mind was when Jordan was crying in his stall clutching the thing to his forehead.

The weirdest trophy in prof. north american sports has to be the mlb one. what a goofy looking thing that is.

oh baby i love complaining about the nba.. god do i hate that league.. i cant wait for it to lockout and never recover fans because they realize that there are athletes out there that care about more than just themselves..

there is no bigger group of self-centered, self-involved, clowns out there.. a 1 hr tv show about where you're deciding to sign? go choke on your own jock strap when you cant get enough of the face that keeps looking at you on the other side of that shiny thing on the wall.. and a party bigger than a championship celebration because you signed a couple good free agents.. the nba will get what it deserves when it loses next season..

p.s dunking over someone isn't impressive.. when it happens 3-4 times per game, its not that difficult.

Is it me or has the quality of play just continued to get worse every year? Nobody knows how to shoot the ball. I find it pathetic that neither team reached 100 points. It's not like they were playing great defense either. Both teams missed wide open jump shots on a regular basis.

Where is Centrehice? I miss his rants about people wearing hockey jerseys and touching the cup. After all any good Canadian would know he can never wear a teams jersey unless he has earned the right. Also any good Canadian would not fall for ESPNBA's propaganda that Patrick Roy is the best ever. OH MY GOD! I just saw a picture of a woman touching the Stanley Cup. A FAT woman!

I agree with you about the players touching it. I wouldn't touch it if I was an active player and had not won it. Especially for a commercial to be aired during the finals.

He is too busy cleaning up his hockey card collection after his wife got drunk and puked all over it. Probably after blowing 10 or so guys at a party they were at.

Please tell me i'm not the only one who remembers that story?????

That story was AWESOME. Especially because of all the replies about his wife being a degenerate drunk.
