The cough held on for me for a good 4 weeks. It was brutal.

I started feeling better and now it is going through both my team's locker room and Mrs 43's class. Maybe i should take February off.
a few of the dads on my sons team got it in early December and the coughs are still lingering for them. Lot of kids in these parts coming down with walking pneumonia too

Just got a note from my Rx provider stating there would be a change to one of my prescriptions and it might no longer be covered.

So I went into the portal and clicked the "learn more" link. Which gave me the phone number to my doctor's office. Uhhh, he ain't gonna know what the fuck you are talking about either.

So I chat with an agent. Seems they are limiting my prescription to the same number of doses I have been on for years. And then they said that my current prescription, which has refills set until November, is fine. And provided the doctor writes the scrip the same way, I will be fine. So why say it's not covered?

Well, seems some people have been getting doctors to write scrips for more than is needed. Presumably to sell the extras as prices rise constantly.

So they threatened to cancel my prescription that was written correctly, or not fill next one unless it was written exactly as it always has been, because OTHER people are scamming.

Such an efficient system

The GF's diets. She's the one who really suffers, because she hates all the shit she's supposed to eat and generally likes the food she can't eat. Right now she's in the "care" of some doctor who ran tests and discovered she has a mutation that supposedly won't let her eat a lot of things, so now she's on a no dairy, no eggs, gluten free diet. She can drink and eat meat and fish, but not much else.

She did this because she has lower digestive issues and always has. But, after a month of this, she's no better. She's 70 years old. Now she is also taking Ozempic for weight loss. She's one of those people who goes online looking for every possible side effect of medications so she can complain about it immediately.

I'm tired of the complaing, and tired of being told we can't have something for dinner because she has a sensitivity to it. It's hard enough to go out for dinner with all the restrictions. The only place she wants to go is a restaurant where she plays trivia with her friends. The beer selection is limited and the food is decidedly sub-par in a bad way.

An IT Auditor has been poking around some of the security processes we have in place for people behaving poorly. They were supposed to test yesterday with about 5 specific scenarios that we know we can detect, and have been. No detections fired, so me and about 8 other people on 4 teams spent the bulk of the day trying to figure out why what he did generated no alerts at all.

Turns out, he just didn't bother doing it.

Someone on another team created a process where the first alert on his activity that goes off, his account get disabled and his computer gets bricked.

Follow up, dude called a meeting that included some of our people from Legal and Compliance Depts (who have oversight of our program). Guy tried nitpicking a bunch of stuff and asked why I never did some series of menial steps to find out a vendor product had changed something and caused us to miss a single alert. Out of 30 tested.

I said "With all due respect, how big of a team do you think I am?". Head Ethics lawyer laughed and the call ended there.

First world problems but the Playstation network being down. Especially annoying is how many games need to be online to play. Long busy week (and I made a new cool international friend here but mods keep removing his or her (can't tell)posts) and all I wanted to do last night is have a few beers and shoot people.

I understand Call Of Duty not working because I'm playing online. But for some reason the career modes in NBA and Madden need to be online.

I had to talk to my wife :(

My Saturday routine is to play an hour or two of Gran Turismo before anyone else is really up and bothering me. So annoying.

I bought the game and play it from MY Playstation. I shouldn't have to connect to anything in order to do so.

My gaming is pretty much limited to Flight Simulator and a few older games like Pharoah, simple games with no online connectivity. For me, the only online Flight Simulator component is the weather, which I can live without.

My old computer works, but now it's got two dead cooling fans so it only works a few minutes at a time and then overheats. Anything with graphics makes it overheat faster.

Getting a letter today in the mail from Geico stating my homeowners was cancelled. When I called, they have no clue why it was done and essentially told me sorry. Then for me to get my insurance back, I will have to pay them a new deposit!
