I just got a ticket from someone saying they need their laptop re-imaged because its no longer updating and some parts are not working. They can drop it off today or tomorrow. Not my department so I forwarded the ticket to the appropriate queue. Just for fun I looked his device up in something I have access to; his device has not been powered on in 10 months.

lol, hopefully they get right on that Chief, wouldn't want you to not be able to do your job.
Are the names Rudy and Hunter associated with the ticket?

We had about 8 inches of snow Sunday night into Mon̈day. I live in an HOA which is supposed to plow at 3 inches. Still a mess on Thursday. The town's not much better, but I haven't even gone out yet. We bought a lot of food last weekend.

We get snow about every 2 or 3 years, so it's not like it never happens.

We were caught in that "bomb cyclone" thing about 6 years back up in Maine. We were at a resort which was pretty empty. We waited a couple of hours and they had all the roads cleared and the parking lot completely plowed. We drove out to town and had a nice breakfast.

More "fun" work stuff.
Supposed to be remote today but Jane Doe had an "emergency" and a few devices need to be configured ASAP. So I volunteered to come in and help my coworker and also to learn the process because there will be more of this in the near future.
I come in, see Jane and tell her why I am there and assure her we will get them down. She thanks me.
As coworker and I begin the process on one of the devices Jane comes in and asks me for a favor - which is sitting up front in reception for an hour and a half while she trains someone in something. First of all, me greeting people and answering phones? LOL. Second oh well if your emergency devices dont get done and last time I volunteer to help.

I wouldnt say this drives me nuts, but I think 6 fouls a man in NBA is way too much. Nobody ever fouls out in a regulation game. Check any box score, between both teams the most you ever see is one or two guys might have 3 fouls. Star players routinely go the whole game with zero or one foul called against them. I say change it to 4 fouls per player, that'll change some coaches strategies and might make the games more interesting.

What I hate is having the NFL put games on Pay-per-View even though they're playoff games. Fuck the NFL if they're gonna pull shit like that.

Getting notifications in the mail that personal data was stolen as part of a breach at a company that I didn't know had my data or that I had any sort of relationship with. Extra points for it being health care.

If our government gave a flying fuck about us, someone would introduce legislation to define who can have our information and if I did not specifically give my consent for you to have my data and you get breached, you should owe me money. And I am not talking 30 bucks for "credit monitoring. Tens of thousands of dollars. It has to hurt.

I read up on it and found the company paid the ransomware operator 22 million and set aside 6 billion in funds to make sure that payments processing could continue while the systems were recovered. Backed by United Healthcare. Who were also breached, which probably led to this breach.

Dig him up and shoot him again.

Car insurance companies and one of their "authorized repair shops" that you can take your vehicle to for repairs

Do not ever think about using this place for anything

Yep any authorized body shop for an insurance company is a scam. Every last one of them, and you are screwed into using them. If not, you have to pay out of pocket and then hope that the insurance company will reimburse you.

I went for my damage repair estimate on January 17th, they still have not forwarded the photos to my insurance company. I called Crash Champions two different times and was told oh we will send those over today. The app keeps saying I need to reschedule my damage estimate. I finally got pissed off enough where I went outside and took pictures of my damage on my own and sent them to my insurance company. Within 15 minutes the adjuster emailed me a copy of my damage report and let me know payment will be on the way I just have to choose how I want to receive it. And I have to find someone to do the work for me which I know someone that will do it just when can he get to it cause I know he's busy.

I think what irritates me the most is I used my last 2024 carryover vacation day to go to that Crash Champions for the estimate appointment and it turned out to be fucking pointless

For me in the past, my car after it was hit had to be towed. State Farm made me tow it to one of their authorized body shops for the estimate and work. If I wanted to take it elsewhere I had to pay to get it towed, pay for the repairs and then submit the claims.

On top of that their authorized body shop, after the work was done did such a poor job it was laughable. State Farm didn't care, neither did the body shop and I never had final resolution on the matter because it got so tiresome to deal with the crap.

That's disgusting. I've had Geico for over 25 years and I've never had an issue with them. The only thing that I could say bad about them on this claim so far has been my fourth call to them was finally when the girl told me these authorized repair shops they use always send the damage estimates incorrectly and they get rejected in the system and they never follow up on them.

I asked her why couldn't one of the three people I talked to before I spoke with you mention this to me?

THANK YOU BROTHER!!!

/i think we're all walking around with a mild variant of bird flu :noidea:

The cough held on for me for a good 4 weeks. It was brutal.

I started feeling better and now it is going through both my team's locker room and Mrs 43's class. Maybe i should take February off.
