Driving South East from Michigan and getting my pockets picked on f-ing toll roads.

Then on same f-ing road the price of diesel is 40-45 cents higher a gallon than neighboring states, how in the hell do the people in Expennsyvania put up with that shit, $32 dollars to drive through one way, bull crap extortion fees!! Counting Ohio tolls it cost more in toll fees than fuel to get to Virginia, thieves!!!!

Depending on where in Va you're going, you can avoid Cleveland/Western Pa toll hell. Come down 75 to 70 and take that east. Then 79 S either into Va (through WV) or 68 East and catch 70 back in Maryland. Not one toll. And you're only in Pa like 30 minutes. Or if you're going into Western part of Va, take 77 S before you even get to Pa.

And a lot less stupid Pa construction. I think there are construction barrels in some sites in PA that have been there longer than I have been alive.

Annual pre-playoff knee injuries to your best stay-at-home defensemen. They suck.

That's why we always get ourselves out of contention by December. Takes the sting out of season ending injuries later on.

If you drew a picture of a prototypical playoff defensemen, Hamonic would be a good start......

I hope he hasn't played his last game as an Islander, that's for sure.

On the other hand, if he had been dealt the Isles might have a useful player on the roster right now instead of a hole on defence.

Hindsight BBB...I still think Garth did right to hold onto him. You dont think EDM is going to be giving up a little more in the off season for a defensemen than they would have mid-season? Eberle for Hamonic might have sounded crazy in December/January but in July maybe not so much....

I think Edmonton can be counted on to be stupid year-round, Pucko.

On the way we took 80 to 76/70 then 70 to 81 then 66 to state hwy 17. Completely avoided the D.C. beltway

We were in Fredericksburg VA, on the way home we took 66 to 81 to 76/70, paid $12 buck in Penn, but then took 70 over to 75, so the trip home was 12 extortion dollars. The construction on 70 wasn't as bad as last year, but still 45 mph for over 40 miles. South and in Toledo the construction is super heavy. The trip took two hours longer going that way, but didn't cost me near as much. I just don't get why you have to pay for the roads AND are charged .40 cent more a gallon for fuel (I'm presuming that to be taxes). Fuel in Penn was 2.25 to 2.40 jump over into WV then Ohio 1.94 to 1.98.

Putting together a music playlist for my parents' 50th anniversary party is more daunting than I expected.

It's a beautiful Sunday. 72 degrees and sunny. But we're getting visitors in a week, so let's spend this day inside making our house look like we don't live in it.

I just submitted an application for a travel grant, and the form was extremely tedious. After filling out a PDF form, which I saved to my computer, I had to fill out another form asking for much of the same information again just to send in the form I already completed.

It also wanted to know my expected graduation date. To the day. Why to the day? Defenses can happen any time; I barely know which semester I'll graduate much less the day I'll defend.

But the best part was the drop-down menus for the dates of the conference. I could select any year from 1900 to 2050. Who designed that page?

lol - I deal with interactive PDF forms all the time and drop-down lists are pretty straight-forward to populate. However, in this particular case, they should have let you select the dates from a calendar widget which allows you to scroll forward and backward a month at a time (obviously starting with the current year and month).

/At least that's the way I would have designed it :D
