Sorry, gimme two weeks. Parents are coming next week, will need that guest room.

Unless you are ok with tool sheds with a slight roach problem, then c'mon down!

:washing:

You weird Raleigh guys, down Charlotte way, we know those are actually Palmetto bugs.

At least, that's what South Carolina keeps telling me.

My point exactly...the roommates must be shitbags to be leaving bahstin for oklafuckinhoma. :hdn:

I have no problem with them going, just a little more advanced notice would have been nice.

Hey, hey... let's watch the language. They prefer to be be called massholes.

That's WHY their leaving. His wife has family there.

Any updates? Did you give the Craigslist a shot? It's free, people e-mail you and they anonimize your e-mail so you don't have to respond if you don't want to. You can see what kind of interest is out there for no risk.

Craigslist. My roommate was moving out in May. I set up an ad and had some decent people interested (be wary of scams though - you'll get responses from generic names that say they can send you a money order to cash, blah, blah, blah - I had fun responding to these and making ludicrous demands). In the end, I decided to just get a new place with my sister (we were already living together) since we had enough money to get a different place without having to live with a possibly shitty roommate (the people we talked to all seemed normal though).

Either set up an ad to find new roommates. Or look for other people needing roommates if you want a move. Either way, a month and a half would be plenty of time to find a place/roommates.

Good luck with your search! I think you'll find you don't necessarily HAVE to get a new job if that's not what you want.

Those are the ones who turn out to be serial killers or something, though.

Just to be clear, they're long time friends of mine. I'm not mad at them, but a little more time would have been nice. They're going there with almost nothing. I think it's a panic move myself, although his wife has been talking about wanting to live there for a while.

Hahahaha. The one was actually a female professional golfer. She had her own Wikipedia page and everything! I totally wanted a roommate that I could say that about; however, the timing was off (I had a roommate lined up who bailed on me about two weeks after this chick had e-mailed me; he decided to move out of the city, so it was understandable, but I was slightly pissed I missed out on this almost-famous roommate).
