Update: I may have a chance to move to Houston for work. Salary will probably be close to what I'm making now, but the cost of living is WAY less (according to C.O.L calculator, I'll have $10,000 more to spend/save if making the same salary). I'd also be working 61 hours a week. The problem is coming up with the cash to make the move, which would cost about $4000 or so (cost to move plus money for apartment). What to do. :nodea:

That'll work out nicely when Bettman relocates the Bruins to Houston though!
Bonus!

I'd pursue that as far as I could...go through the whole process and what not. Could always try asking the company for help? Sometimes that works...

My wife is from Houston so I have had to go there many times. Specifically Katy. While I would not want to live there (too hot, too many Texans) I do like the area and housing is much cheaper there. I love the food, both the barbecue and the Mexican food.

I'm no fan of 100+ heat, but most places I've looked at online have central AC. Texans don't bother me as I have friends from there. Great Mexican food is a bonus.
