Important distinction...
"What's Going On" was not a question.

It was so political, he and Berry Gordon almost came to blows over its release.

On this day in 1988, Living Colour released their debut "Vivid" - one of my favorite albums of all time. From the opening riff of "Cult of Personality" I knew Vernon Reid was something different and I wanted to learn how to do what he did with a guitar. I can't figure him out. I wanna be like him when I grow up. There's just an underlying funk to everything they ever did.

Lesser know great song from that album - warning: very evocative imagery. "Funny Vibe"

It really came out live. "Desperate people". And they still got it.

The comedy series from Fox, “The New Girl” premiered in 2011 and remains just as popular now as it was during its run and finale in 2018.
The show is known for being funny, different, witty and full of cameos.
Starring Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, Hannah Simone, Damon Wayans Jr. and Megan Fox, its cast was diverse and always seemed to gel well throughout the storylines.
One of the best stories from behind the scenes comes during the episode when the iconic musician Prince guest starred.
As the story goes, the episode was to be full of cameos and a key fun episode that season. And as Zooey explained in an interview with Vanity Fair, Prince was on set and also the Kardashians arrived since they were at their peak popularity then as well. Neither guests ever saw eachother beforehand.
As filming was getting underway, Prince was sitting in video village watching the scenes be filming and it goes on record him stating ‘What are the Kardashians doing here?’
He was told ‘Well, they’re in the show. They’ve been invited to a Prince party.’ And Prince’s reply was, ‘They would never be invited to a Prince party.’
From there the Kardashians left and ultimately their scene was completely cut from the final aired episode. Talk about keeping it real.
