Incredible album, one of the two cassettes that I wore out my junior and senior years of high school, Pyromania being the other one

I had to get out the No. 2 pencil and rewind the cassette tape as I also played the cassette non-stop lol

this one has been floating around in my head for a few days.

I liked them, they were fun. When I was 16 - 23 most bands I liked would go right from DC to Philadelphia (or vice versa) bypassing Baltimore. For some reason Hothouse Flowers were here 3-4 years in a row.

I always liked Squeeze and for years they had a relationship with an old theater here and would do Christmas Eve and Christmas shows. At the time I could not afford to go though.

My wife really likes a eastern European/ Ukrainian punk band called Gogol Bordello. They seem to be here a lot, often doing New Years Eve shows or festivals like Artscape. I think my ears are still ringing from the last time I saw them.

Otherwise Baltimore is usually a music dead zone.

Am I crazy or does Dishwalla have a Goo Goo Dolls sound to them? At any rate, I like this tune.

Great album.

Miss Emma Peel is an incredible tune

I hear it a bit.
They were never my favorite but I liked the Goo Goo Dolls' earlier heavier stuff much more than their light rockish more successful stuff.

To me they kind of sounded like early Soul Asylum before Soul Asylum changed to their light rock more successful stuff.

I only saw them once, it was a tragically hip festival.
Lineup was quite eclectic

Tragically Hip,
Midnight Oil,
Hothouse Flowers,
World Party,
Pere Ubu,
Crash Vegas.

Was right up front for most of the show, but would have liked to have seen the Hothouse Flowers in a smaller club
