Record producer/engineer on about 1,500 albums, including Nirvava (In Utero) , Pixies (Surfer Rosa), Page&Plant, Urge Overkill, etc.
Though he dismissed Nirvana as "REM with a fuzzbox"

He refused to take royalties, calling the system unfair to artists.

Don't know about recording, but they are touring. Heard advertised a year or so ago they played a Zucchini festival near Columbus.

The other headliner was Tone Loc.

Yes they have been touring recently.


They opened up for Alice Cooper back in the 90's, and I got busted for jumping on the floor. As my head was being put through the exit door by security, the song playing was "Its all over now"

Fortunately, as the show had started already, I bought a cheap scalper ticket to get back in, and met my friends back on the floor about 20 minutes later.

I'm the other way, my biggest non real estate investment is in a catalogue of music royalties.
