Just a follow up about my daughter, here is a pic of the nail clippers inside her stomach.

Holy S!! Glad she is okay.

The New Orleans Pelicans? Really? I've always maintained that New Orleans, Utah, and Memphis need to do a 3-way nickname swap. Jazz to NO, Grizzlies to Utah and Hornets to Memphis.

That makes so much sense that it will never happen...

What's everyone's take on the free agent activity so far in MLB? As far as Bay to the M's, until he can stay healthy, call me skeptical. I don't care if he's an ex-Zag or Canadian boy.

Is that a procedure where the surgeon uses a scope while he has the rear bike wheel in the air?

Mad :pizza: and undying respect for a real live BMX reference.

Frank Zappa passed 19 years ago today

Sad. I loved Zappa. He and I were from the same town.

Which probably says a lot.

I blame the mustard gas they produced near there.

Yukon Cornelius rules. I'm rewatching Rudolph and I'm convinced with the way bullying is viewed nowadays this movie could not have been made nowadays. They are brutal in this one.

I always thought it would make an amazing case study on bullying, tolerance and discrimination. I would not be shocked if some bleeding hearts tried to ban it

I guess the pelican is the state bird of Louisiana, but why not a lasting tribute to the greatest NBA commissioner in history - Ladies and Gentlemen, the New Orleans Sterns.

/it's a bird, people

TSNDaveNaylor: A very deserving honour for the late Tom Cheek who wins the Ford C. Frick Award from Baseball Hall of Fame

It's been a nice off-season for the Blue Jays...

I could not have been happier when the Mets bought Jason Bay out. Hated the signing from the start. He was brought in as a power hitter and he couldn't hit for power (for the few games he actually played, he's always hurt). Isn't Safeco a decent sized field too? Doesn't seem like a good fit to me.

Theyre moving the fences in but until they install a green monster we wont see his Red Sox numbers any time soon

I like the gamble ... its his last chance ... he is as close to local as it gets and his wife is from seattle ... if hes not fully recovered from injuries though, its over

all in all ... the mariners are taking a chance and as per usual these past couple of years, these chances the mariners take never pan out

All I know is that when the Mets signed him, of the 20 HR leaders for the 5 prior years, he had the 2nd shortest HR distance (ahead of only Johnny Damon who played for the Sox and Yanks, both hitter friendly parks).
