i remember when my grandmother passed away. I was 6 years old. I remember it well because the nurse would not let me go kiss her goodbye because I had donut sugar sprinkles all over my face and my mom and dad gave them to me to keep me from crying. I was young but did understand what was happening. It was a time that I will always remember and to this day when a loved one is moving on and I have the chance to be beside them and hold their hand nothing in the world will ever stop me and has not.

grandmas are special but we must always remember that they have lived a long and loving life and have given so much and we will always hold dear in our hearts the special gift they always gave. I understand that some never got that. but those that did I can only say remember it forever and should you become a grandma or grandpa enjoy it as much as possible.

I used to watch college football and pro football for hours and hours with my dad every weekend. This year I've caught maybe, MAYBE, 4 Wolverine football games all the way through and maybe a third of the Lion's games. A lot of that is due to work, but still I don't make time to watch as much as I used to.

Weekends aren't fun anymore.

Sorry for the loss Nas.

I spent over 7 hours at the hospital because my 2 year old swallowed a pair of nail clippers.

After several x-rays, and discussions between the 2 teams of Doctors they called in, they were able to pull them out of her stomach instead of having to do surgery.

I'll never forget the look on her face when they put the medicine in her IV to knock her out. She was so scared, and then she looked at me and said "Daddy Help Me" before falling asleep.

I'll admit that I teared up, but I'm glad to see she is back to her old self again.
