Now all we need is Howard to score a few more goals on himself tonight and we'll have the perfect miserable sports day.

You know it has to be a helluva wild pitch for Prince Fielder to run out a third-pitch strike and make it safely to first.

Only Prince Fielder has gotten on base in 4 innings. Disgraceful. Alright, I'm out.

Went to the game at the Big A today - first baseball game in well over a season. Drawstring backpack giveaway today.

Um yeah, most of those singles were the hit it soft to where they aint type, but that semi hanging breaking ball to Trout was crushed.

Bought the tix on Stub hub four weeks ago, got them delivered three weeks ago - showed up at the park, tix scan as legit but show up as already being used. Go to the ticket office and they confirm the email version has already been scanned. Luckily across the Wally World parking lot is a Stub Hub ticket office and they not only gave me a full credit card refund, they gave me almost comparable tickets one section over, same row and same seats (first row, upper deck, right behind home plate). I guess that is good customer service.

I think I suffer from adult ADD. Been at this desk on and off all day to work on a bunch of stuff I brought home from work, and have managed to get very little of it done.

I don't know if I will ever take a week of of work again, since apparently nobody does shit when I'm not there.

They don't pay me enough to deal with this bullshit.

J-Mac had a nice bounceback start. He still needs to trust himself more and be aggressive. His stuff can be close to unhittable.

But it's good to see the offense starting to perform a little better and more consistently. And the bullpen has been very good aside from Hughes.

My cousin's 4 year old grandson was killed in an accident last week, and the family needs help raising money for the funeral expenses. Please share the following link with others to help raise the money so the family can lay their little angel to rest.

Hughes got a HUGE out in today's game. What a club right now. What a homestand that was! 7-2 and one game rained out they likely would've won with how they were hitting! 3 from the Reds, a split with the Cards, and 3 of 4 from the Braves? MAN.

Snider looks really good. If he's figured it out, with the amount of talent he has, that would be huge for the Bucs. But he looks really comfortable in that #2 spot.

Pedro's coming around. Sure he only had the one hit today, but he crushed one to left field, and Upton just made a heck of a play on it.

Cutch's bat is heating up. Marte's been mostly solid. Jones and Walker are Jones and Walker. Martin's starting to look good. Barmes finally got a couple hits, and hopefully he can at least be sparingly competent for a little while. Sanchez has been good off the bench. The starting pitching has been largely very good, and the bullpen has been shutting other teams down.

We just need to be consistent and not taper off at the end of this season...

This is a good roster. It really, really, really is. Them playing well is no longer them playing above their means, it means them play TO their means. Consistency is key. And the rotation will only get stronger. I know people wanna poo-poo the Liriano grab, but I think it'll work. We have Liriano, Morton, and Karstens all waiting in the wings. Which is good, because Cole has struggled with command his past few outings in Indy. Talk about some great depth in the rotation though. If we get 'good' JMac more often (he just needs confidence really), AJ, Wandy at the top? Then fill in the bottom? That's SOLID.

M's won 7-1. Home runs from Seager, Montero and Morales. King Felix gets career win #100.

That was pretty hilarious. He didn't even look at them while he pushed them away!
