During that 14 game streak the Pirates are 1-13. You know your team sucks when they can't even suck the worst. :)
The 13 games they lost they have a -49 run differential and have to go and blow it, winning 14-4 in their only win.
End of the year 7 game series between the two teams just for "fun"?

I like this idea better than a draft lottery for first pick. MLB, NHL. It would reduce the tanking factor somewhat. A 4-team "playoff" for draft position where you actually have to win.

Perfect anti-tanking way to a top pick. I know MLB doesn't allow it already but also they should be forced to use the pick vs trading it away to teams like the Yankees for some over valued prospect.

Must be nice to have anyone on your team with at least 25 home runs (let alone 40) or a starting pitcher with an ERA less than 4.00 (let alone 3.00), or even a starting pitcher without a losing record.

Did you know that Johnny LeMaster was so hated by Giants fans that he had "Boo!" on his jersey nameplate?

The worst part about him in Pittsburgh is the Pirates lost that trade with Cleveland.
In return the Indians got Scott Bailes who had a career 5.00 ERA in the dead ball era.

I thought Tim Foli was a very good shortstop for the Expos and he also provided some clutch hits for the Expos.

He also had clutch hits in the 79 World Series for the Pirates and batted .333 with 10 hits in 7 games.

As the #2 hitter in the order, he was great at getting Omar Moreno advanced on the basepath to set up Bill Madlock and Pops.

Good contact hitter who didn't strike out much, either.
