How about those Mariners?!?
hoping for an M's sweep
How about those Mariners?!?
Jays usually play well in our western alternate home field. If they can't get back on track now there is no hope.
I'd be lying if I said I've watched more than 20 minutes of baseball in the past two weeks. They've been so bad.i get the feel that alot around these parts are already off the bangwagon .. off the seahawks bandwagon too
They would probably feel right at home if they moved to OttawaSeattle Mariners fans in Seattle should be embarrassed for letting the takeover of Safeco happen ... if it werent for the glorious baseball park, they could probably move the franchise 220 kms north
and yes props to the western cdn jays fans who made the trip ... mind you, a 5 game losing streak will send them back into hiberation
props to these 2 especially
I don't get Seattle, Baltimore or Cleveland - all playing meaningful September baseball and letting their stadiums get taken over by rival fans.
they werent even talking baseball this week on seattle sports radio ... Seahawks dominate that market and I think losing the weekend series to the Astros made everyone think "same old same old mariners"
They had $8 tickets to the Friday game v the Astros to celebrate the 8 game winning streak and didnt fill the stadium
The cesspool radio guys went to the Jays/M's series and said they estimated (seattle radio guys agreed with the estimate) the Tuesday game v the Jays had about 25000 jays fans and with a 34000 attendance that means 9K Mariners fans ... good lord
Which was obvious, considering the 2 ALE teams play out the stretch against each other and the other division rivals. Losing a series to the Jays wasn't a coffin nail.all that being said, when you look at the remaining sched ... M's have the easiest sched of all the wildcard candidates
I don't get Seattle, Baltimore or Cleveland - all playing meaningful September baseball and letting their stadiums get taken over by rival fans.
Well, everyone fills barns in the playoffs save TB.All I can advise is don't ever suggest that Baltimore has fairweather fans. You will see their strength of numbers when (if) the Orioles get to the post season.
Until then; traffic, prices, recession, ownership, etc.
