Oh hey, since this is the baseball thread (biesbol?), I thought I would mention that I got a pop up message from Direct TV about a "Half-Season free preview" of MLB extra innings. No idea if the free preview is actually for the remainder of the season or not, but Direct TV customers should check it out.

I think it's just like a 10 day or 2 week deal.

DirecTV frequently does free previews (except NFL) around the midway point of a season.

There you go again, using the liberal spelling.

Should I have used the Canadian (metric) spelling of Baseba(u)lle?

I think it's just like a 10 day or 2 week deal.

What threw me was the "Half Season" free preview wording. We'll see.

Does anybody really care if Adam Wainwright served up a couple of pitches to Derek Jeter last night? It's an All-Star game, I mean the days of Pete Rose crashing into Ray Fosse are long gone.

He seemed to be serving up pitches to everyone. :dhd:

I care...because the game means something for some damn reason.

TSNJFranklin: Cavs team sources say that they have NOT offered @22wiggins in a trade for Kevin Love and they are close to signing their 1st overall pick

The more I see of Wiggins, the less I think the Cavs should send him to the Twolves for Love.

I know we have a ton of Seinfeld fans on here and I hadn't heard about this Web series Jerry Seinfeld was doing until yesterday. Some of you may know about it, but for those who don't, it's called "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

It's just Seinfeld hanging with different comedians for 15-20 minutes and it's laid back and nicely done. Guys like Leno, Louis CK, etc.

Whole ton of episodes, I've enjoyed them. Here is the site with all the vids.

Although, wouldn't the "Oops I'm in the way" guy have been more appropriate?

I don't make the funnies...I'm just a dreamer.

OK so I'm outside on a glorious day tossing the baseball up in the air to myself.

It gets stuck in some tree branches about 15 feet up.

:L

Shaking the tree does nothing, so I grab a rake and toss it javelin style towards the baseball. I impress myself with how accurate my aim is, having never thrown anything like a javelin before. It must be all those hours of Olympic watching I've done in the past.

I get closer and closer to the ball until, on the 5th attempt, the rake gets stuck in the tree about 12 feet up.

:L

I scour the driveway for some stones but only find one about the size of a ping pong ball. I look up at the baseball in the tree and it looks very small from down here. I let loose with the stone. Not even close.

:L

I decide to shorten my wind up and throw it more like a dart. I measure the baseball up and take aim.

Dead fucking center!!

Screw the rake, it looks good up there. :spy:
