Even a blind squirrel Chris, even a blind squirrel
Ah, yeah, well, uh, deal with it?
Eh, it's not a huge deal, but we do this all the time which kinda makes it hard for people to like us....either that, or we will attract all types of music lovers
Karstens's night is finished with two outs in the seventh. Resop is coming on with Carlos Lee at first. Pirates are handing a 1-0 lead to their bullpen, and now that Bud Norris is about to come out, I'm feeling pretty good about the Pirates' chances to get back to .500 today.
Resop with a great 1/3 inning. >l
You're right about Karstens. The kid knows how to pitch. I don't think he'll keep his ERA under 3 all year, but I do think he'll keep it under 4.
And I'm comfortable with Resop and Hanrahan out of the bullpen, but that's about it. McCutchen's been lucky, Moskos, Wood, and Watson are unproven, and Veras has, as you said, been frightening. He's just walking too many guys.
Veras is like a freaking rollercoaster. Has a fantastic fastball, but of late, can't control it at all. I want early season Veras back, he was lights out. At least now we're into the 'stros pen too. And in the meat of the order (now that Cedeno is out that is).
I hate watching Ronny Cedeno hit. I hope this batting him second experiment is over now.
He and Wood drive me NUTS. Wood's been slightly better the last 2 weeks or so, but Cedeno batting 2nd is a bad idea all around. I under stand Hurdle's thought process (he was 5-10 against tonights starter), but still...it's Cedeno. We need to draft a big name SS next year.
