And another thing. What is up with the dimensions at Minute Maid Park? 315' on the left field line, 362' to left center, and 436' to straightaway center? And a hill and a flagpole in play in center field? Who designed this place?

Karstens just pitched from the windup with a runner on first. Oh well, he's pitched well otherwise, and he just struck out the batter to end the inning, so no damage done.

McCutchen singled to left to start the 6th inning, extending his hitting streak to 13 games.

Trainers out to check on McCutchen. Looks like he'll stay in the game, but they were looking at what I would guess would be an oblique injury. So hopefully, he'll be alright, and so far it looks like he is.

With Snyder, Doumit, Alvarez, and Harrison all out, the Pirates can't afford to lose their best player. Heck, if all those guys were healthy, they still couldn't afford to lose McCutchen. The less Xavier Paul in center field I have to see, the better.

With runners at first and second, Garret Jones and Lyle Overbay strike out. Now it's up to Mike McKenry, who is 0-13 in his career so far, to drive in the run.

I can't believe I'm about to say these words, but Carlos Lee just robbed Brandon Wood of a hit. How unlucky can you be if you hit a hard line drive and Carlos Lee, who might be the worst defensive player ever, makes a sliding catch on it.
