View attachment 253667View attachment 253668View attachment 253669Today started normally. Woke up at 6, my buddy walked me to my desk and I cracked the window for him. At 7 he started meowing and couldn’t stand on his feet. By 8 he entered Heaven

7 pounds of pure love. More like a dog than cat, he crawled up on me every night after dinner for 15 minutes. never met a person he didn’t like and greeted everyone who came by.

He showed up 10 years ago as a stray with FIV. Wasn’t supposed to last 5 years. Developed hyperthyroidism a couple years ag. Never changed his personality. Pure love.

I am gutted

So sorry for your loss Dave. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. They're not just a pet, they're a member of your family. I have 3 and I'm not looking forward to the day I experience the same. You'll be together on the other side someday.

Petey clawed the top of my head up pretty good. Charlie (my brother‘s dog) got his hair cut and I was taking Petey upstairs to my room because he hissed and clawed at Charlie. Then he did it again while I was carrying him upstairs and jumped on my head. 4 or 5 good scratches.

What is cool about this cat shot is:

I've never had cats who would do this even though we've almost always had 2 cats.

They love my Washington Redskins blanket.

But most importantly, that chair is old. My great grandpappy owned that chair. Went to my grandpappy. To my daddy. To me.

1st sons all.

The ottoman has been lost over the years. It was originally red leather. Chair has been recovered 5 times since.

It's where I read. It's a great chair to sit in for a spell with a good book.

When I can find a spot to sit.
