Nah, def need two guitarists. Right now its just me, its just not fun, I can't open up with leads, 'cause the sound just drops out. I have a buddy who is way better than me, were gonna jam a couple times see where it goes. I am a really good, creative rhythm player, so his leads will be great over my playing. We'll probably just trade off solos and shit, again he is way better. It'll be fun. When I play "jam" style, I have a very funky style to my playing, and he is well trained in funk/blues. I really hope it takes off.

I played a Gibson for the first time in a long time. I used to hate them back in the day. Their necks are so smooth... I'm seriously debating picking up a Les Paul in the somewhat distant future. Either going to be a Les Paul or a PRS that I am going to add after I upgrade the strat a little.

PRS's are beautiful guitars (especially the birds inlays), but whenever I pick one up I end up wishing it was a Les Paul.
For whatever reason, the PRS just. Lacks that 'crunch'

My buddy plays his through a Marshall set up, a 1st year Fender Super Reverb, and a custom built cabinet (he built it) with a Mesa head. He seems to be able to play just about anything. Of course, the PRS isn't his only guitar. He does own a Strat (Eric Johnson), a vintage Les Paul, vintage Jazz Master? A few others including multiple acoustics.

Fuck, I hear that this style really isn't that hard once you get it down. Open tune/slap playing sounds so beautiful.

Just in case you didn't know, you realize Jeff Healey is blind right?

Didn't know that...that explains the wicket mullet lol. Sweet cover though. This is my favorite version of that song. Wicked solo by Prince. That asian dude's ukulele cover is a must see too

Ovation? I played a few before playing my Taylor. Different sounds. Looks like a nice acoustic though.

I like their tone. Taylor is a little outta my price range.

I love the sound of Ovation guitars a ton. I just don't like their sleek backs. It's hard to play unless you have a guitar strap. I haven't played one in awhile though, so they may have remedied that. My humble opinion of course.

Shoulda gone through the Want Ads. Some good deals there, believe me. I got my fender amp there and a 100 series Taylor, like mine, for my nephew for $400.

Meh, I like that they'r made in Connecticut. One of my big guitar influences swears by them, and I have always loved them when I played them. The one I posted is about 550.00, not going to break the bank. I got a killer deal on the amp I am getting. Barely used Blackstar HT-60 2x12 combo, originally 900.00, getting it for 500 bucks. I know the person who owns it, never been gigged with, never moved, never cranked passed like 3, thing is mint. I may have to change the tubes, thats it.

I was shocked when I heard he passed. Didn't know he was having health problems. He's playing in good company now.

he had been battling cancer basically his whole life.
it's what took his sight as a toddler.

So sad. That is a true musician. Defying all odds to play guitar the way he did while battling such an illness. It is just too bad that people like that never get the recognition they deserve. Instead you have turds playing all of three powerchords getting more recognition.
