what did you end up getting?

Blackstar HT-60 2x12 Combo. Good balance between cleans and gain. I wanted something that had good natural distortion. This gets me good fuzz for blues, sludgy OD for stonerish rock and enough gain for when I feel like playing metal (which isn't much nowadays).

I really can't wait to pick up the Blackout Whetstone Analog Phaser... Has such an awesome 70's prog sound.

60w, all I need.

I know this is a guitar thread, but I picked up this awesome synth on Friday -- The Roland Gaia:

Rick Wakeman, Geoff Downes (Asia), Jordan Rudess all own this puppy; good enough for me.

Speaking of Jordan Rudess, here he is demo'ing the synth (1:00 mark)

I cant wait to add to my music arsenal. I want a mandolin, a new ovation acoustic, a plethora of pedals... Ugh, being a musician is expensive.

good choice. Blackstar is one of those criminally underrated (and underpriced) brands.
they were on the shortlist when I picked up my Traynor.
cleans are so important, as you can always add dirt onto the signal, but can't go back the other way (ie. make a dirty sound clean)
you should look into an older Proco Rat for your dirt - such an iconic sound, and can usually be had pretty damned cheap.

your pic didn't shot up, fwiw.
(or the strat pic above your post, for that matter)

Congratson your amp. Tube amps are really are a the better product for tone IMO. Not to say there aren't some decent solid state amps out there, but I always have preferred that tube tone.

I've had a Seymour Duncan 84-40 tube amp now for over 20 years; hopefully yours does the same or better for you.

I'll def be looking into an OD pedal, but right now I am content with the amps natural grit. I think I am going to pick up the Blackout whetstone analog phaser (highly suggest checking this out), MXR CC analog delay and MXR blue box. Those are top 3 on my list.

That sitar one is really enticing... although the price tag is up there for something I probably wouldnt use very often. But I plan on putting a prog rock (70's-ish) band together in the Fall, and that would be mint to add.

I hope so. Thing is built like a tank and very similar to Marshall for amuch better price. I also got a KILLER deal on it.

I didn't even know a polyphonic tuner existed.

Yep, reviews are pretty awesome for it as well.

edit: It was $10 off at Streetwater Music, free shipping as well. So I said fuck it. I needed a tuner pedal anyway.

Sweet, just got delivered. Really interested to see how this tuner pedal works. Supposedly you can just strum a chord and it will tell you what strings are out of tune. Pretty sick if it works good. 5 star reviews, so it must.
