Cool. He's kind of taken the Stanley Jordan concept, but moved it onto two guitars. I'd like to know what he's using for a homemade string dampener; everything I try to use sucks.

+1

Saw him in Vancouver in 1995. As far as orchestration and sounds goes, that was EASILY the best concert I'd ever seen. Every note was an absolute pearl. I've seen better "shows", but nothing that even compared in sound and sterling live musicianship of that concert.

Don't know if there's any love for acoustic country in this thread, but I just recorded this

Slash is so sick... watching him tear it up at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony was great. Brings me back to my youth.

I truly love that man. So much soul in his voice, in his playing. Truly embodies what a blues musician is.

Good stuff man, thanks for sharing. There is always love for the acoustic.

I played a Gibson for the first time in a long time. I used to hate them back in the day. Their necks are so smooth... I'm seriously debating picking up a Les Paul in the somewhat distant future. Either going to be a Les Paul or a PRS that I am going to add after I upgrade the strat a little.

I forgot how much I loved this dudes playing until I watched the awards show.

Still rocking. This dude from Alter Bridge sounds a lot like Axl. Kinda weird actually.

I'd get a PRS myself. Les Paul's are so heavy. BTW I think I'm selling my strat. It deserves to be owned by someone who's playing out.

If I had spare dough, I'd be interested. But I'm good with one strat, I want something with a little different tone. I love the PRS's myself... But man did that Gibson neck feel good.

Not trying to sell you the strat, lol, just telling ya I'm selling it seeing as how we both own one. My hands/fingers just don't work like they used to. BTW, why is next week hell week? You haven't been training to be a SEAL, right? :D

lmao, I'd die. Nah, I got a PT job for the Spring/Summer... Gonna be loggin a lot of hours. But this will all be worth it in the Fall. It'll finish off the last of my debts, upgrade my music equipment a bit, and get me a new car. I'll be able to live comfortably in the Fall. So thats the plan.

I quit the band I am in. Gonna start a new one in the Fall. More rock/blues/jazz/funk related. Kinda drifting away from my desire to play metal.

Too bad you don't live in the area. I'd hook you up with a friend of mine who plays guitar. Phenomenal lead guitarist he is, and it never hurts to have two in the band.
