40 watts is definitely enough. I really like the tone for the price tag. They say a strat sounds its best through a Fender amp... So be it.

So, I just listed my amps for sale on craigslist to upgrade. I am going to go with something that wont break the bank. The Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue.

Great choice; you can't go too wrong with a Fender amp. I actually own a Deluxe Reverb re-issue.

There are so many others I want, but I just cant justify spending 2,000 on an amp right now.

I really need to start taking some fusion guitar lessons. Its almost all I listen to know for the most part. Slowly veering away from crazy metal and into more experimental shit. Just recently got into Wayne Krantz, this dude is so bad ass.

I'm officially beginning classical guitar today. Only took 11 years.

Well, with Paul writing Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The end, and John Being adamant about exactly WHEN I Want You to end, there wasn't enough room on the Album to fit the solo ;)

lessons, or just trying to figure some stuff out on your own.
If it's lessons, you are likely about to get theoried up the wazoo.
(unless you are just learning fingerstyle, which will work with the chord shapes you already know)

caveat: extent of my classical(ish) was learning Randy Rhoad's "Dee" :)
oh, and Black Sabbath's "Orchid". maybe a couple of others.

Classical/jazz/fusion Lesson #1:

Play this fucking chord: X O 9 5 8 10 (Amin11)

...and this chord: 2 4 6 2 O O (Gbmin11)

My buddy uses a Mesa head, and I believe also has a Marshall set up. Not sure how many guitars he has, but I do know he owns a strat, I think 2 PRS, and some collectable guitars (fender and/or Gibson I believe). Those Mesa's rock.

For the time being... on my own. If I take to it, which I will, I will further seek better instruction.

I'm ready to dive deep into classical guitar. I want to know theory now, classical guitar is just amazing. I've been watching this clip that Tyler (Ritari) posted a ways back of some dude playing "Lux Aeterna" from Requiem for a Dream and its just awesome. Now I have found a ton of modern classical guitarists from Canada that are just ridiculous. Definitely something I want to get into.
