Anyone who thinks that Germany and Spain are gonna roll in to the finals will be in for a surprise. Portugal and Italy should keep it close, and I think 1 of them will win even. Its worth noting that Italy owns Germany in International play I believe Italy is ahead like 14-8-9(something like that), including a 2-0 win over germany in germany in the semis of WC 06. I don't believe Germany has ever beat Italy in a major tournament.

I'm pretty good at this soccer stuff

Germany vs. Italy woes continue... and their goes my shot at the office pool...

Balotelli mean-mugging after every goal, not celebrating with his team. Such an ass.

umm??? no??? lol

this is definitely not a given ... although Germany will have had an extra 2 days rest

if Italy can play the same game they played against Spain in the opening game, Italys going through ... theyre totally playing like Spain right now ... Balotelli needs to up his strike rate and finish 1 of the glorious chances he gets ... I think he will ... hes due ... scoring that pk against his pile o crap Man City teammate Joe Hart was a confidence building effort

Its one thing for Germany to break down and score 4 against Greeces d, it should be interesting to see if they can break down the Italian diamond ... Germans showed they are very susceptible to the counter in their game v Portugal and they totally hung on at the end in that game. Plus they gave up 2 versus Greece?????? Germans can bog Pirlo down in midfield but all he needs is one chance to set something up (see Spain game)

If Italy allows Germany to take possession it could be an ugly game but thats not prandellis philosophy ... thats the old Italian defensive theme that England has adopted

Yah me too

Irish fans voted as most Civil at Euro 2012

CANOE -- SLAM! Sports - Soccer - Euro: Irish Euro fans to get award for civility

what the freak is going on in this world lol

Oh, he doesn't smell like Irish spring, and he never taught me anything,
But still I slap my chest and sing of my drunken Irish dad.
Oh, his face looks like a railroad map and he never shuts his freakin' trap,
But all the ladies catch the clap from your drunken Irish dad.

Ask-a Hennessey, Tennessee, Morrison, Shaunessy, Riven and Rudy,
They'll tell you the same.
McNolte, Mulrooney, and Carter and O'Clooney,
All feel the same mixture of pride and of shame.

Finnegan, Hannegan, Cally and Fannigan,
Look to the ground when their Dad passes by.
Halferty, Rafferty, Joyce and O'Lafferty,
Fight for his honour and then start to cry

Oh, we Irish lads are all in firm, and our moods infect us like a germ,
Cause we're all a spawn of a pickled sperm, (and we don't tan well either)
From a drunken Irish dad!

In all seriousness, the haters love to pile on the guy but balotelli could be an agent of social change in Italy, as crazy as that might sound

There's a political movement to change the citzenship/immigration laws for children of African immigrants and refugees in Italy and its impetus is coming from balotellis story. Right now there's almost a lost generation of children of immigrants to Italy (some who were even born In Italy) who don't have the rights as regular Italians.

/those Africans are hoping he doesn't see a red card tomorrow
