Anyone who thinks that Germany and Spain are gonna roll in to the finals will be in for a surprise. Portugal and Italy should keep it close, and I think 1 of them will win even. Its worth noting that Italy owns Germany in International play I believe Italy is ahead like 14-8-9(something like that), including a 2-0 win over germany in germany in the semis of WC 06. I don't believe Germany has ever beat Italy in a major tournament.

if Italy can play the same game they played against Spain in the opening game, Italys going through ... theyre totally playing like Spain right now ... Balotelli needs to up his strike rate and finish 1 of the glorious chances he gets ... Its one thing for Germany to break down and score 4 against Greeces d, it should be interesting to see if they can break down the Italian diamond ... Germans showed they are very susceptible to the counter in their game v Portugal and they totally hung on at the end in that game. Plus they gave up 2 versus Greece?????? Germans can bog Pirlo down in midfield but all he needs is one chance to set something up (see Spain game)

In all seriousness, the haters love to pile on the guy but balotelli could be an agent of social change in Italy, as crazy as that might sound

There's a political movement to change the citzenship/immigration laws for children of African immigrants and refugees in Italy and its impetus is coming from balotellis story. Right now there's almost a lost generation of children of immigrants to Italy (some who were even born In Italy) who don't have the rights as regular Italians.
