I really liked the way they responded. They went out and played for themselves, and good on 'em for it. Much more of a reaction and the NBA would probably punish them, and I think they knew that. The whole situation is so messed up. What a hack. His lady is pretty weak though. She's obviously disgraced, but at the same time she can't help but try to please him. Just...come on lady.

I wonder what the grounds are for the NBA to take away/remove an owner.

I've seen tons of articles saying he needs to be "fired" (sigh, he's an owner sports "journalists," not an employee), but no journalist I've seen so far has actually explained how that works or what the clause is that lets the NBA do that. This isn't an employee, this is an owner who has invested millions in the business.

I agree it'd be great if this racist, old hornball could be gotten rid of, but what does that actually entail?

Kudos to Michael McCann and Sports Illustrated providing a look at what that means, the legal possibilities, and what is likely to happen - a fine or suspension of some sort.
