Really?!? Kerry Joseph followed by a FG - Somebody needs to remind Kavis Reed that this isn't a two game total point series.

play of the game = Geroy Simon giving the ball from the first TD to Bill Reichelt.

(That Rickey Ray fumble right after a turnover early in the 3rd was a good one, too)

I missed that story. What's the significance?

Bill Reichelt is an equipment guy/physical therapist for the Lions.
His son was killed in a car accident this week.
The Lions are wearing "DB" badges also for Dylan's memory.

Game over. Grey Cup will be BC's high flying offense vs the Winnipeg smash mouth defense.

Early Bodog line has the Leos favoured (-7)

Bombers have a great d, no question ... but Lions will dress 6 dlineman again and every single one of them would start on any other team in the league. Thats gonna intimidate the fuck outta the Bombers Oline ... No time to take a breath when the Lions will be rotating fresh would be starters in and out each down

Khalif Mitchell will go NFL next year if he wants to ... as Eskies olineman Etienne Legare put it a few weeks back ... "This man ... he is not the human ... he is the machine"

The key for the Bombers is RB Chris Garrett, if he can establish a running game, it will keep the Lions pass rush in check. Winnipeg has a very tall receiving corps as well, Greg Carr is huge and Clarence Denmark catches everything that's thrown his way.

It should be a heck of a game.

This is a bit off topic, but I was wondering who is the best QB in the CFL? Do you guys think he could be an NFL starting QB at some point?

The best quarterback in the CFL at this moment is Travis Lulay, followed next by Anthony Calvillo. I think Calvillo could have had a good career in the NFL (in the Kurt Warner mode).

Thanks. I think we're going to see more guys from the CFL get a chance in the NFL in coming years. Vaughn Martin has been given a chance to play with the Chargers & is doing well so far. It's not his fault their secondary sucks.

Travis Lulay is making a case, though this is his first full year as a starter.

generally, the biggest knock on QB's is they they might be too small to see/throw over the NFL linemen.
Doug Flutie is a perfect example of this - terrific in the CFL, never really got a fair shake to start in Buffalo, even though all he did was win. Warren Moon is another CFL guy who had an extra career down south later.
Calvillo in his prime would have done well, I think. terrific arm, vision, and reasonable scramble.

hell, if they can get 10 yards in 3 downs up her, getting it in 4 should be a cinch :)

one of the things that many a NFL player that has come to play CFL has said that is its a much tougher game than they realized. Ive always heard compliments towards the CFL as well.

another prime example of QB not making it in the NFL as well was Casey Printers. that guys first 2 years with BC were mind blowing good. Then he wanted the big money and went to the NFL with the Chiefs. got a start or two in pre season and never dropped that clip board until cut. it hurt him (plus injuries) when he came back as he never got back to form and is pretty much done in the CFL (his attitude didnt help much)

A big ego can end a career. Ryan Leaf is a prime example. All the talent in the world. His attitude ruined him. After a game the Chargers lost he was celebrating on the plane ride home the fact he had reached a bonus clause in his contract.

I always wondered how Damon Allen would have done in the NFL. His brother is in the NFL Hall of Fame of course.
