Oh no. Local emergency rooms are overwhelmed today as the Orioles host their first, and presumably last, Bring Your Exotic Pet To The Ballpark Day.

Sailing from Kodiak to Sitka today.
Waves are about 20 feet. It's been kinda fun.

Has been incredibly calm all the way from Tokyo, so we were due for some weather.

This afternoon, captain comes on radio "assemble starboard 4, assemble starboard 4" and crew members started flat out sprinting.

Turns out a wave had come so high and hard, that it dislodged and set off a man overboard buoy, and orange smoke started coming out of it (per its design).

They had to drop some poor tethered bugger over the side to reach down to retrieve it.
