There’s a possibility they will be visible again tonight
Im going to mount my inlaws tv tonight (lol) at their new place ... 26th floor penthouse in an area with few other tall buildings ... if I dont end up getting shitfaced with my FIL after (and fall off the rooftop deck) Ill post some pics since it should be a clear night. There’s a possibility they will be visible again tonight
Great news is, no matter what area it is located - its located in a spot where both places can enjoy it.My dad's precinct was Essex and he always INSISTED that was in Dundalk. As if that made any difference.
Thats really cool!
When hurricane Ike hit Houston back in 2008. I went out to check the damage and to smoke (I was still smoking then) when the eye of Ike went directly over my house. the smoke was just hang in the air, eerily quiet no insects sound of any kind in the middle of summer. Then the back end hit that's when the heavy rain and strong wind blew for 7 hours straight took out one of my trees and a section of fence.I was in Antigua and we only got hit with the edge of a big one that was out pretty far. We locked down and I blocked the windows with the mattress and box spring in case something came flying through the window. I remember the quiet at the start of the night, then how fast the winds came in and how long it lasted. felt like forever... then quiet.... just such an abnormal quiet.. I didnt sleep at all that night and I cant even imagine what it would be like being in the middle of one...
First time my wife and daughter (she was 11 at the time) got in a pool with sharks, the guide said as long as they have their path that they can circle around the pool, they will ignore you. Just lemon sharks and nurse sharks, pretty harmless. The dad who arranged this family outing is sleeping on the couch tonight...

That might be one of the best captions ever
Thoughts and thoughts. My father in law has moved in with the sister in law for a bit because they cannot say when his power will be restored. Seems the substation that feeds his neighborhood is underwater and 3 gators have moved in. The "low side" of his neighborhood (closer to the creek) still has about 2 feet of water and the gators frequently move up and down the streets looking for food.
Keep in mind he lives 110 miles from where Milton made landfall, 30+ miles inland and at an elevation of around 200 feet
