I got Jenkins in my office's Secret Santa event. Can't wait until he opens up a $25 gift card to Bush Gardens in front of everyone. No, not the theme park - the over 50 strip bar in Greektown.
its fantastic there. you never miss in the coin toss

sad...

one of the saddest moments I ever experienced as a Funeral Director is when I got a call from a parent whose son died of a fentanyl overdose. He called and I could tell he was walking on the street and I just answered his questions. I didnt pressure him into coming to us for business I just wanted to make sure he got the direction he needed of what to do. I then heard a siren in our call and just outside my office and I realized he was standing across the street. I asked him if I could come talk to him outside and he said yes. I went out and he was just defeated and lost. I put my hand on his shoulder and he just grabbed me and hugged me. I brought him in the office got him a coffee and we just talked for an hour. what I found out was he just came from seeing his son die in front of him. he was looking for him since midnight and was walking down just outside of gastown when he saw the ambulance and police and recognized his sons shoes. he ran to him and they let him through as they tried to save him but he died as he held his hand. I ended up serving the family and often think about his dad and mom and how they are doing. That day will always be imprinted in my memory.

This is crazy.

I have left my house an hour before my flight and made it through security in time to get a snack and drink before boarding.

I just think the fact that we have an explosion at the border story immediately followed by a Taco Bell (Make a Run for the Border) story is further proof that this board never fails to disappoint :D

Edit: I meant deliver, not disappoint lol

My mother and nephews really got a kick out of my Bush Gardens joke at dinner tonight.:)

Did the turkey turn out okay?

:D
Pretty good! Put it in the oven at 600 degrees for a while. The outside was done but the inside wasn't so I used a can of Pledge and a lighter to get the inside. The lemon flavor was an added bonus.
