The decorum you are expected to keep up on LinkedIn is kind of annoying. Calling people out on their BS is so frowned upon but sometimes needed.

This time last year, I was heavy into a job search and got pretty far down the path with a company here in Columbus but I ultimately decided it was too far away from the day to day work I wanted to do, so I declined them. They were okay with it and hired someone else I actually knew. And three more people. Then they outsourced their security operations and those four people lost their jobs in January.

That same company has now started posting publicly stating that they have a lot of "exciting" opportunities one of which is identical to the job I declined and was later outsourced. And I can't say "Motherfucker - ain't you the ones who just outsourced that shit 5 months ago?"

California passed a law stating that all job postings where the person could be working in California need to have the pay range stated in the ad. In a remote work world, that pretty much means every job could potentially be an employee in California, so all jobs are starting to list ranges.

I just saw an ad for a job where the salary range was 34k - 285k.

Well, that's helpful.

LOL...that got me beat. The funniest range I saw so far was 121k - 260k

A guy I used to work with went off on some of my colleagues on Linkedln and a RCMP investigation was opened. Nothing really came of it, but still it just highlights the dangers of airing dirty laundry in a public space.

Nothing forensic with this investigation lol.

/Best thing that ended up happening was me leaving that company as well, bad culture at that place.

So you worked for the Blackhawks huh?

They treated some of their employees about as well as the Blackhawks treated their players - No sexual abuse as far as I know, but they put a couple of their employees on stress leave, one guy died of cardiac arrest which I believe was directly related to stress, and another guy committed suicide).

So in a nutshell, glad I'm no longer there.

I keep a notepad on my nightstand in case I have any great ideas in the middle of the night. This morning when I woke up I saw that I had written this over night some time:

make fun of Dash, possibly via Calgary/Stampede
Psychedelic Furs biopic starring Hemsworth brothers as the Butler brothers

turned the page over to read

"Dash, would he be pretty in pink?"

RIP. @dash was Mellow Mushroom around when you were in ATL? Always good pizza and never been to a bad location.

I think they spread out over the southeast now and even as far north as OH?
