OT: Boston Red Sox Legend Johnny Pesky dies at 92 years of age

Damn, what a bummer. I know, 92 is a good long life but he was a great guy in the clubhouse for all the players. RIP Johnny.

When I was 12 my family went to spring training at WinterHaven.

It was freaking cold and raining and players did not come out for 2 days. Johnny Pesky came out on day 2 and threw balls to each and every kid. He told them (including me) to jump over the stands and come on the field...We threw and he hit and had a great time...

There was about 15-25 kids there. The players all saw it and came out and autographed baseballs and bats and handed them out.

this man had more class and respect than 99% of all current professional ball players.

RIP Johnny. You made a lot of people happy.
