The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Draft Lottery last night. However, they didn't win it with their own 1st round pick. They did so with the 1st round pick they acquired from you guessed it the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS. Yes the worst franchise in professional sports history would have had the 1st overall pick again.

I really have no idea why anyone would be a Clippers fan. Failure personified.

I actually take more humor in that Cleveland will pick 1st overall the year after they lose a self proclaimed god.

Note self proclaimed

I think it is hilarious that they get two of the top four picks in a weak draft. The two players they get combined won't be able t sniff Lebron's jock.

People may not like him but just him leaving turned a perennial contender into a lottery team. That is some serious talent.

I think they could actually improve a lot depending on who they pick.

They certainly can't get any worse.

But I agree with Slim - 42 win drop off in one season? That's one hell of a player they lost. The Cavs should have gotten Stoudamire a year sooner - given the guy some help and maybe he would have stayed. I always thought the rest of the Cavs were better than everyone thought. Turns out they were actually worse.

Sure they could improve, they are a terrible team but regardless of their picks they won't be as good as when they had James.

It just bugs me that people hate the guy for a stupid decision. Most people here have probably made worse decisions in their lives hell I know I have. He is still one of the top two players in the NBA. And it also bugs me that Cleavland plays the victim card. Newsflash: you're not the first team to lose a star free agent. Man up and move on. Their fan base is acting like an 8th grade girl that just got dumped for the first time.

/end rant. :)

I think Lebron wanted to go play with Wade no matter what. they were good friends before this year. And this past year, the Cavs lost a few starters early in the season. That certainly didn't help, but losing one of the top 3-5 players in the league can kill a franchise. It's not like other players were lining up to play in Cleveland. the same thing could happen to New Orleans or Orlando if Chris Paul and Dwight Howard leave next year.

It's not the fact that he left, it's how he left. Stringing them along until "the decision" was classless. He was a hometown kid and they loved him there like no player before him. He could have at least told the owner he was going to leave to go to the Heat and tell him to make a trade with them so they could have gotten something in return, like Carmelo Anthony did. Instead, he had to feed his oversized ego with his "I've decided to take my TALENTS to south beach" BS.

Damn, I didn't expect an NBA thread to garner more than 10 on-topic posts...

'Bron was a free agent, 'Melo was traded. Different situations.

NBA solos before hilarious. Why won't the heaviest button end your void? How can the agreeing pedestrian shake hilarious? The amateur works hilarious over the flower. Why can't the audible knowledge crash?

Better?

This is gong to be the chance the Spelling Bee Championship has been waiting for.

That competition is rigged. The 12-yr old white girls get words like "school" to spell, and the poor 12-yr old hindu kids have to spell words like "phthalates".
