I was entering my sophomore year of HS when Phelps started winning Olympic Gold Medals. What a career

I almost forgot how much I love the summer olympics. Watching sports I'll never watch on the regular.

Yep.

I watched the 200 relay heats earlier. From what the announcers were saying, it would be one of the biggest upsets of the Olympics if US didn't win gold in that relay. They had the 2nd best time with their 3 best swimmers resting.

Wow, really? How?!

Not sure. Just saw they won 66-65.

This Argentina/Croatia games tells me a lot about Spain. Croatia beat Spain but are down 16 to Argentina.

So Spain isn't the Spain we used to know anymore

Don't got anything against anyone that enjoys watching mismatches but it's not for me. Kind of silly to me really.

Tomorrow should be a decent game at least for an half to 3 quarters. Australia looks like the 2nd best team from what I've seen.

I haven't watched a game yet and I am sure they aren't very entertaining.

Thing is, the country with the best basketball players in the world should win every year. Why tie one hand behind our backs for the sake of entertainment? I would rather watch the pros roll through and earn gold than watch the college kids get abused by foreign pros. Not much entertainment there either.

I'd rather watch competitive basketball than the Globetrotters.

Can't wait to see how Cavs fans react when Delly dives at Kyrie's knees...lol

Spain is really struggling because they don't have any backline defense. Both Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka are not playing for spain, which hurts them a lot. That's a much different front court than Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic.

Also Spain's offensive sets look atrocious so far. Teams are daring Rubio to shoot and he's not making them pay. Spain looks like it's trying to run their offense through Pau in the post, but the secondary defender is coming hard and they leave Rubio open at all times.

Instead of dumping it down in the post to Gasol, they should be running more of a pick and roll offense with the type of guards Spain has. That would be it's strength.
